Simon’s first birthday was on January 3rd. His Uncle Trevan’s birthday is January 5th, so we split the difference and partied on the 4th.
A meal in a Mexican restaurant and a bright blue Nemo cake…
You can’t beat that.
Simon enjoyed the event immensely (especially the blue icing).
The Aftermath
It took several days of preparatory work to convince James that the party, the cake, and the toys we bought were for “Simon’s happy birthday”. He finally conceded. Well, sort of… at least James has agreed to share Simon’s birthday presents with him.
