Jay is home for a visit (with facial hair)

Jay arrived on March 16th, and we were very grateful that his hairy face made it home safely. Em and the boys heaved a collective sigh of relief that family life could return to normal...even if it was only for 3 weeks.

Some of the men in the Peterson family participated in Mustache March and Jay decided to join in. Mustache March is an Airforce tradition. Em's brother-in-law Scott is an MD currently serving a 6 month Airforce tour in Qutar, so we decided to have a family mustache competition. Em tried to talk Jay out of shaving when he arrived, but he just couldn’t stand it anymore. So Biddulph Mustache Month ended up being only 17 days long. Even so, since most of Em's brothers can't grow facial hair to save their lives, we’re guessing Jay’s photos will still beat 5/7ths of the competition.

The goatee, the most trustworthy of all beards The handlebar stache... which Em thinks is a bit creepy (on Jay, at least) The (nerdy) French pencil mustache
